With 12 medals in shot put, discus throw, and javelin throw,

Jyoti, a Class X student at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Odhan, always had a passion for sports. Walking was a challenge for her,

but she refused to give up. Using a prosthetic leg gave her the freedom to explore athletics.

In April 2022, her life changed when she was selected for a special camp for disabled athletes in Haridwar,

organized by the Aditya Mehta Foundation. Her natural talent in shot put and discus throw was quickly recognized,

and she was chosen for advanced training at the foundation’s Hyderabad center.

She is preparing for her Class X exams in February 2025, while training for the Dubai International Games and other upcoming competitions.
